Water Intrusion Mitigation

Water finds the smallest gap in a roof system and works its way in long before a stain shows up on a ceiling. Water intrusion mitigation is the process of finding that path, confirming how far the moisture has traveled, and drying and repairing the assembly before it leads to rot, wet insulation, or mold. Homeowners typically call for this after a storm, when a stain appears, or when a roof has been leaking quietly for a while without an obvious source.

Finding the Source

  • Drones with Thermal & High-Res Cameras — aerial imaging that spots trapped moisture and damage across the whole roof.
  • Handheld Infrared Cameras — thermal scanning from inside and out to trace hidden leak paths in the roof assembly.
  • Moisture Meters & Wood Moisture Meters — direct readings that separate a wet deck or wet framing from an old, dried-out stain.
  • Core Sampling Tools — test cuts that show how many roof layers and how much wet insulation are actually present.

Drying and Repair

  • Submersible Pumps, Air Movers & Dehumidifiers — standing water removed and the structure dried out before conditions favor mold.
  • Drain Snakes for Internal Drains — blocked drains cleared so water is not held against the roof.
  • Photo Documentation Apps — each stage of the work photographed and time-stamped so you can see exactly what was found and fixed.
