Shingle Replacement
Shingle Replacement
Shingles wear down from sun, wind, and age long before a leak shows up inside. Curling, cracked, or missing shingles, exposed nail heads, and granules collecting in gutters are common signs a roof surface has reached the end of its service life. Shingle replacement strips the old layer away and rebuilds the roof surface from the deck up, rather than patching over a problem that will keep spreading.
How We Approach the Job
- Measurement First — Aerial measurement platforms produce exact roof dimensions so material counts and layout are set before a shingle is pulled.
- Checking What's Underneath — Moisture meters and core sampling tools confirm whether the deck below is sound or holding wet insulation that also needs attention.
- Clean Tear-Off — Roofing shovels, tear-off spades, and pry bars remove old shingles and fasteners down to a clean deck we can actually inspect, with debris contained in roll-off dumpsters.
Installation Details That Matter
- Underlayment & Fastening — Cap nailers secure synthetic underlayment against wind, and pneumatic coil roofing nailers place fasteners at correct depth and spacing.
- Straight Courses — Laser distance meters, levels, and chalk lines keep shingle courses aligned and slopes draining properly.
- Site Care — Landscape tarps protect beds and walkways during tear-off, and magnetic nail sweepers clear the yard before we leave.
