Roofline Grading & Water Diversion

Roofline grading and water diversion is the work of making sure water leaves your roof the way it was designed to — following the correct slope into gutters, downspouts, valleys, and drains instead of pooling, backing up under shingles, or dumping against the foundation. Homeowners typically look into this after noticing standing water, staining along the fascia, or a downspout that never seems to keep up during a storm.

What We Check and Correct

  • Roof Pitch & Layout — measured with laser distance meters, levels, and chalk lines to confirm slopes are draining as intended.
  • Drip Edge, Flashing & Valleys — inspected and adjusted where water is meant to change direction and speed up or slow down.
  • Gutters & Downspouts — seamless gutter formed on site and downspouts roll-formed to length, hung on hidden hangers, and joined with crimped, riveted seams that hold at the corners.
  • Scupper & Internal Drainage — drain lines cleared with drain snakes and gutter vacuums so low-slope and flat sections keep moving water instead of holding it.

How We Confirm the Fix

Once grading and diversion work is complete, we document the roofline and drainage path with photo records so you can see exactly where water enters, travels, and exits. On roofs where standing water or hidden moisture is a concern, moisture meters and infrared imaging help confirm the deck and insulation underneath are dry.
