Ridge, Soffit & Gable Vents

Ridge, Soffit & Gable Vents

A roof needs a clear path for air to move in low and out high. Ridge, soffit, and gable vents work together to pull heat and moisture out of the attic, which protects the underside of the deck and keeps a home more comfortable through Bradenton summers. When these vents are missing, blocked, mismatched, or painted shut, the attic can trap heat and moisture that shortens the life of roofing materials from the inside out.

What We Look At

  • Ridge Vents — the continuous exhaust vent along the roof's peak, checked for correct cut width, unobstructed baffles, and a clean cap tie-in.
  • Soffit Vents — the intake vents under the eaves, checked to confirm they are open and not blocked by insulation or old paint.
  • Gable Vents — end-wall vents evaluated alongside ridge and soffit vents so intake and exhaust are balanced rather than working against each other.

How We Evaluate & Install

  • Hole Saws & Vent Cutting Jigs — used to cut clean, correctly sized openings for new or replacement vents.
  • Handheld Infrared Cameras — used to spot heat and moisture patterns that point to airflow gaps in the attic.
  • Laser Distance Meters, Levels & Chalk Lines — used to lay out vent placement so intake and exhaust line up correctly.

This work often pairs with attic insulation, fascia and soffit repair, or powered attic fan installation for a complete ventilation approach.
