Post-Storm Damage Assessment

Post-Storm Damage Assessment

After wind, hail, or a fallen limb, roof damage is not always visible from the ground. A post-storm damage assessment looks past the obvious dents and missing shingles to find the trapped moisture and hidden entry points that lead to bigger problems if they go unaddressed. Our approach pairs a visual inspection with tools built to reveal what the eye cannot.

How We Assess the Roof

  • Aerial & Thermal Imaging — Drones with thermal and high-resolution cameras scan the whole roof for trapped moisture and damage without anyone walking the surface.
  • Handheld Infrared Scanning — Thermal readings from inside and outside the roof assembly locate wet insulation and hidden leak paths.
  • Moisture Readings — Moisture meters and wood moisture meters check the deck and framing directly, separating a genuinely wet area from an old stain.
  • Core Sampling — Test cuts show how many roof layers are present and how much wet insulation is underneath.
  • Measurement Reports — Aerial measurement platforms produce exact roof measurements, so any repair estimate is based on real numbers, not guesswork.

What You Receive

Every stage of the assessment is documented with time- and location-stamped photos, so you see the same images we do. If the damage needs immediate protection, heavy-duty tarps and board-up kits can secure openings while repair plans are finalized.
